Belvedere Home Made Film Festival

Hello everyone:

It was another fun workshop yesterday where we had a chance to explore what it means to make an Experimental or Surreal Film. AJ provided us with prompts from which to take inspiration to make a 60 second film. All the films at the end of the day were really enjoyable.

I look forward to seeing everyone at the library on, Sat September 19th from 11am-2pm.

This workshop will be fully focused on helping to complete your film so you can submit it for consideration. Team Redwood will be on hand to assist. Please bring your clips or partially completed films so we can help you get them over the finish line.

The deadline for submitting your film for the festival is September 24th, so please let me know if I can help with anything.

(If you would benefit from a private tutorial from a member of Team Redwood, some of them are available to book for a reasonable fee.)

Our workshops have been designed to build the confidence needed to make a short film – and now I can’t wait to screen them in Belvedere Park on October 9, 2026 at 6pm.

What to Bring:

💻 Laptop (fully charged) with CapCut installed — use the desktop version, not the cloud version (it’s free!)

🎞️ All of your film clips or partially completed film. We will have time to review works-in-progress if you want feedback from the group.
