Stop Motion Workshop 2.0!

I’m looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow, Sat 7/25, starting at 11am sharp to learn more from Norm DeCarlo, who has generously offered to run a second workshop for us!

Now that we’ve got the basics, let’s start thinking about new stories we want to tell. Please come to the workshop with a simple idea for a story that can be told with stop motion. You are not limited to using clay! Bring objects that can be animated, along with a rough idea of a story you can tell.

I have an idea for a promotional video for the festival, and I’d love to work on it with anyone who wants to.

The workshop will be from 11am–1pm, though we may run a little late. (No pizza this week…)

Our workshops are designed to build the confidence needed to make short films – and we can’t wait to screen them in Belvedere Park on October 9, 2026 at 6pm.

For those that want to access the practice films from the workshops, you can do so by clicking HERE.

  • Any gear you have: tripod, gimbal, camera rig, audio equipment — but don’t worry if you don’t have any of it
  • A few lavalier mics will be available to borrow
