I’m excited to announce that, due to popular demand, Norm DeCarlo has offered to run a second workshop this coming Saturday!
Now that we’ve got the basics of how to get to work down, let’s start thinking about new stories we want to tell.
I also have an idea for a promotional video for the festival, and I’d love for us to work on it together — maybe even two (or more!).
We’ll stick to the 11am–1pm time block, though it may run a little late. (No pizza this week…)
Our workshops are designed to build the confidence needed to make short films – and we can’t wait to screen them in Belvedere Park on October 9, 2026 at 6pm.
For those that want to access the practice films from the workshops, you can do so by clicking HERE.

💻 Laptop (fully charged) with CapCut installed — use the desktop version, not the cloud version (it’s free!)
📱 Smartphone (fully charged)
- Any gear you have: tripod, gimbal, camera rig, audio equipment — but don’t worry if you don’t have any of it
- A few lavalier mics will be available to borrow
- Most importantly: start thinking about a film you’d like to make. Celebrate your community!
With much appreciation,
