Clay Animation- Thanks Norm!

After a few minor technical glitches, the workshop prepared by Pixar alum Norm DeCarlo was a complete success. Thank you to this professional animator. What a treat.

We had two stations set up so everyone who wanted to create an animation could do so. One set up had a seamless backdrop and was shot from the side, and the other had the camera suspended over the work surface.

Norm had us clicking away in no time and we came away with everyone learning something.

Sebastian and Joel from Team Redwood were on hand to help whomever needed assistance.

Our workshops are designed to build the confidence needed to make short films – and we can’t wait to screen them in Belvedere Park on October 9, 2026 at 6pm.

For those that want to access the practice films from the workshops, you can do so by clicking HERE.
