Thanks for attending another fun and productive workshop with AJ Meininger guiding us to create Real People interviews and documentary style short films.
Attendance was fantastic, and we had a great turn out from our Team Redwood, once again helping us film and edit our stories. As AJ put it: “We could not be doing these workshops without their help!” I couldn’t agree more! Sam, Sebastian, Sofia, Enzo, Joel and new to the team: Olivia! Great job.
Next workshop will be on September 12th where we dive into the creative world of making Surreal & Experimental Films. Be prepared to surprise yourself with what we come up with!
Our workshops are designed to build the confidence needed to make short films – and we can’t wait to screen them in Belvedere Park on October 9, 2026 at 6pm.

What to Bring (if you have it):
💻 Laptop (fully charged) with CapCut installed — use the desktop version, not the cloud version (it’s free!)
📱 Smartphone (fully charged)
- Any gear you have: tripod, gimbal, camera rig, audio equipment — but don’t worry if you don’t have any of it
- A few lavalier mics will be available to borrow
- Most importantly: start thinking about a film you’d like to make. Celebrate your community!
