You’re Invited: BHMFF Kick Off Party + Summer Workshop Details!

Hello everyone!

I hope to see you all at our Kick Off Party on Friday, June 12th at the Belvedere Tiburon Library. The program will begin at 5:00pm with some wine and yummy snacks. We’ll share all details about the event, the workshops and everything else we have planned around the festival. And be sure to pick up your all-new Festival t-shirt!

I’ve been working closely with our Redwood High School and UCSF interns to create an exciting and engaging curriculum for the free workshops this summer. The dates have been posted to our website, and once we finalize the programming, I will share those details on the site as well.
These are drop-in workshops so you don’t need to commit to the series. However, we encourage you to attend as many as you can, since we will work on projects that extend over several dates.

To prepare for these workshops, we recommend bringing your laptop (fully charged) and loaded with CapCut (a free editing software package).

You should also bring your smartphone (fully charged), and if you have a tripod, gimbal, camera frame or any audio equipment, bring them too. We will have a few lavalier mics that you can borrow if needed.

Please come with ideas for a film you would like to make. The workshops will feature hands-on exercises designed to provide you with the tools and skills needed to make your film!

I look forward to seeing you!

With much appreciation,

Adam Gavzer
Creator and Executive Director
