Belvedere Home Made Film Festival

Wow! I was so thrilled by how many people attended the festival last night!

Thank you to everyone who showed up and for your enthusiasm for this project.

With 33 films presented, I’ve been hearing all morning about how much people enjoyed the films, and everyone appreciated how diverse the inclusions were, from the very personal, to the civic minded topics, to scripted pieces.

Thank you to all the filmmakers, and to the superstar volunteers that helped make this event a complete success. Even technical difficulties didn’t stop us from screening every film!

I loved seeing the films made by the kids, which were particularly enjoyable since they worked so hard to pull them together, with just a little help from their adults. Next year, I plan to run kid-specific filmmaking workshops where we will focus on the basic elements of telling a story using the video medium. Please spread the word and let’s make next year even more fun!

Special thanks to the Windsor St Blues Band, the Hot Chocolate Team, Popcorn, all the Soup Diva’s and the the Lounge Diva! Great job!

Keep an eye out for notifications about the kick off party in the spring. We might actually run an encore presentation of the event at the CineLounge as part of the kick off.
