BHMFF Workshop 8/9/25 recap

The workshop was so fun today!

After reviewing some basics of camera work and storyboard creation, we broke into small groups to make a film.

The assignment was to tell a story in one minute, which is a real challenge!

We started by brainstorming the story we wanted to tell, then put that right into a storyboard. Once that was ready, the groups assigned each member a role such as director, camera person, actor, or production assistant. Then everyone headed out to shoot their scenes, and once they finished, they came back to quickly put the clips together to make their film.

I love these hands-on workshops because they allow everyone to get comfortable with the process and gain confidence that they can make their film.

If you need help with anything, email me at info@bhmff.com or check the website.

Next workshop will be on August 30th, 11am at the library, where we will have all hands on deck to help edit! Bring your laptops, film clips and storyboards so we can dive right in.

thanks!

Adam
